Other than the durian orchard back in my hometown, I haven’t been to any other Pick-Your-Own (PYO) orchard elsewhere. It’s currently strawberry season until end of January. I came across the address to Massey Gardens & Orchard from the web last week and decided to take the family there.

The drive south to Taupo took almost 4 hours but surprisingly not as tiring as it seems. The weather was perfect and we had plenty of stops along the way to enjoy the scenery.

One of the good thing about living here is that you don’t have to drive too far to go to a beach.
