Just after 2.00PM today, there was a mass protest at KLCC over the recent and sudden fuel hike. Those who work at KLCC Tower 2 were fortunate enough to get a bird’s eye view of the entire commotion below.
These photos were taken by my colleague, Loh who is just the guy to keep his handy digital camera with him wherever he goes.

Protestors gathering in force in front of Suria KLCC

Protestors in front of Menara Maxis

Wtf?!! Don’t insult our prophet?!! Is this guy at the right demo?

Quite a turnout as you can see

FRU trucks parked nearby in anticipation of any unruly crowd behaviour

Yup, these guys are having a field day

This guy however seems lost in the excitement

The newspaper the next day din do any coverage about it. They made it like very very very tiny story. And when they did, they mentioned the crowd was a over 2000. That’s exaggerated bit oledy.

The increase in petrol price wld definitely burden all of us but it’s the time we need to stand on our own feet, try not to be too dependant on the govt subsidies. Therefore, i think the increase is a rational decision in the long run.

the gov has used all the petrol subsides for their oversea visits. which can be reduce. that could help to control the gov money rather than asking us ( rakyat msia) to pay more!!
