Income tax submitted, banks informed, credit cards cancelled, insurance auto-billings updated, car sold, boxes of personal effects shipped, luggage packed… it’s been a long few weeks.
I guess we underestimated the time needed to say our goodbyes. Nevertheless, I had a great time catching up over lunch and dinner with old familiar faces. For those who made the effort to just drop by, appreciate the effort.
Air Asia just announced a new flight destination to Taipei, Taiwan. Perhaps, it won’t be long before they fly to New Zealand (C’mon Tony, if you guys can fly to London, you sure as hell can fly to Auckland). Hmmm… if that happens, an annual trip back here for Chinese New Year might be possible after all.
So it’s goodbye for now… at least for the next few years. In about 20 hours, I will be staring at this welcome sign.
Talk to you again from the other side.
