I’ve been in Auckland for over 2 weeks now. Weather is friggin’ cold and it’s been drizzling the past few days, even when the sun is up. Rainbows are pretty common here. I’ve been hanging out at Northcote almost every weekday because of the free wifi at the library. I was told that there’s almost certainly a library for every suburbs here, and they have really good books and magazines too.

[Loads of new magazines and books]
You’d know if you are at a public place for too long when people start to know your name. One of the regulars here who shared my table was a former SAP Consultant with Air New Zealand. He’s now retired and happily working on his own board game inventions. Others were kids from nearby colleges who thinks I’m one of their students. It’s great to know that I still look young.

[It looks empty now because it's 5pm, closing time]
So many books… so little time…

Hi Sean, I’ve just emailed them to you. I’d be happy to let you use my photos… take it as a little something that I can give back to the library.

That’s so rewarding – an apparently ordinary library user who blogs about a library in such terms…. makes my nerve ends tingle.

Thanks for the comment. I was just stating the obvious and what’s on my mind.
